Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) is a spiritual renewal process that has been alive in NE Indiana since 1986. Semi-annual weekend retreats, held in the spring and fall, provide opportunities to experience personal conversion and Christian community in a casual, friendly atmosphere. The presenters are a Christ Renews team of fellow parishioners and the pastor.

During the Christ Renews His Parish process, deep and lasting relationships are formed providing an uplifting Christian community along with brotherhood and sisterhood in Christ. After the renewal weekend, every church event will feel like coming home.

How large are your retreat groups?
We intentionally limit each retreat to 30 guests. This size fosters genuine connection & fellowship.
What is the cost? There is NO FEE to attendees. Zero Cost to you!
These retreats are FREE of CHARGE to all attendees.
What is CRHP?
CHRP is a wonderful way of becoming connected with fellow parishioners. It is a process by which one can experience “Church” through the power of scripture and commitment of fellow parishioners. CHRP is in the Parish of the Parish and for the Parish. It is just 30 short hours to commit yourself. Our “Regional CRHP” encompasses 13 smaller Parishes that are too small by themselves to offer continuation of the programs and thus have been combined to allow for this ability.
Is CRHP a silent retreat?
No, CRHP is not a silent retreat, but you will have an opportunity to reflect. CRHP is not an organization, but a dynamic faith-based program centered on Christ.
What happens during the weekend?
Most who have taken part in the retreat weekend experience say that “you cannot explain what happens; you have to experience it.” This is your initiation to that “experience”. It will include some prayer together, table & group discussions, reflections by team members.
What if I have special dietary needs?
Special dietary needs can usually be accommodated. Please tell us when you register, and a team member will contact you. The Kitchen coordinator for the weekend will be the best person to assure we can accommodate your needs.
What about emergency contacts?
An emergency number will be given to you before the weekend which will be answered by one of the team members. Also, you will provide the team with an emergency contact name and number when you register. We will be reaching out to your contact person to confirm their information and to request prayer support.
Do you accommodate dietary or mobility needs?
Absolutely. Before the retreat we gather detailed requirements, then collaborate with our kitchen coordinator to provide suitable meals, arrangements, and activity adaptations. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities.
Who conducts the weekend?
A team of around 14 team members from previous CRHP weekends prepare the weekend during a 12-week formation period. The experience includes special contributions that each team member makes. This combination makes for a powerful and enjoyable weekend.
Who may participate?
Every adult member of the parish is invited to attend. Men & Women participate on individual separate weekends. You must be 21 years old to attend.
What about weekend mass?
There will be a special private mass for those attending the weekend.
How do I dress for the weekend?
Casual and comfortable clothing is the norm. “Sunday Best” is not expected.
I would like to attend, but I have a health condition ?
Your health condition should be discussed with one of the retreat leaders. A recommendation will then be made.
Where does The Regional CRHP take place ?
The CRHP takes place on the premises of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Auburn, 500 East 7thSt, Auburn, IN. Arrival and check in at 8AM on Saturday morning in the Parish Church entry. Hot meals, snacks and beverages are provided thoughout the day. Sleeping arrangements are in the parish center as well - we provide inflatable twin mattresses, bring a sleeping bag, pillow and whatever you need to be comfortable. The retreat continues Sunday, ending around 4PM.
